2023 Inter-County GAA Jersey Rankings
34. Meath
Meath ranked a little bit higher in these rankings with the same jersey in 2023, but there is more quality among this year's offerings.
This one isn't the easiest on the eye.
33. Carlow
The Carlow colours can be difficult to blend into a nice jersey, but this isn't the best we have seen.
32. Cork
It's just too plain for our taste.
While there is plenty to be said for a clean cut look, this one could do with one or two added elements.
31. Roscommon
Roscommon have had this jersey for a few years, despite the fact that it remains one of the least eye-catching in the country.
30. Sligo
Black jerseys can often be quite slick looking, but this Sligo effort doesn't quite fit the bill.
29. Laois
Much like the Cork one, this kit from Laois is just a bit too boring.
28. Longford
Having finished bottom in the 2023 rankings, Longford have moved up a few spots in 2024.
Still, it is not among the best offering this season.
27. Tipperary
Tipperary are usually in and around the top ten each season, but they've fallen off quite a bit this year.
A country that thrives with a clean cut or retro look, this is far removed from what we're used to seeing from Tipp.
26. Tyrone
Another perennial contender in the jersey rankings, Tyrone have also dipped dramatically in 2024.
25. Fermanagh
A bit of an added white trim would have moved this one up a few spots.
24. Antrim
Like Fermanagh, this one had potential but it isn't quite as nice as it could be.
23. Kildare
It can be difficult to do much with the Kildare jersey, but they have had more eye-catching efforts down through the years.
22. Limerick
Another county who are often near the top of the rankings, this jersey from Limerick doesn't quite stack up to its competitors this year.
The background design takes away from its appeal.
21. Donegal
This is a better effort from Donegal after some poor ones in recent times.
The crest on the panel of the kit works quite well.
20. Galway
Galway are another county who have suffered as a result of the high standard in 2024.
They would have ranked higher with this effort in years gone by.
19. London
This is a decent move up the rankings from London in comparison to previous seasons.
The collar is a nice touch.
18. Derry
Derry have slipped down the rankings a bit in 2024, with this being a bit less clean cut than some of their recent jerseys.
Still, it's not a bad effort.
17. Leitrim
Leitrim are one of the big risers in this year's rankings, having finished 33rd in 2023.
The first non O'Neills jersey, we like the look of this one.
16. Wicklow
It's a midtable finish for Wicklow, who have retained the jersey they used in 2023.
15. Kerry
This is a much cleaner effort from Kerry in comparison to last year, although it does not do enough to crack the top ten.
14. Armagh
Another one of the non-O'Neills efforts, Armagh drop a bit in this year's rankings due to the quality on show elsewhere.
Still, a decent effort.
13. Offaly
Clean cut with a sponsor that doesn't detract from the overall look, there's not much to complain about here.
12. Waterford
The only Azzurri jersey in 2024, this one from Waterford has a simple retro feel.
It works well.
11. Down
Down are usually in the top ten of our rankings each season, but they don't quite manage to get there this time around.
Still, this is a lovely looking jersey.
10. Dublin
This is a much nicer jersey from Dublin, who have put out some questionable efforts in recent times.
It's a classic look that has proven to be a hit among their supporters.
9. Clare
Clare mix the classic look with some more modern touches here, something that blends together wonderfully.
8. Cavan
Cavan are always there or there abouts each season, with this being no exception.
7. Kilkenny
Kilkenny jersey are pretty similar each season, but this one is certainly among their best in recent times.
The black across the shoulders blending into the stripes below works really well.
6. Monaghan
This is a real beauty from Monaghan.
The background design works really well, while the sponsor also adds an extra splash of colour.
5. Mayo
A perennial contender, this is yet another cracker from Mayo.
The retro look works brilliantly, as does the white cuff on the sleeves.
4. Louth
Louth are the big risers in this year's rankings, going from 32nd in 2023 to a spot in the top five this time around.
It's easy to see why. The sleeves and collar on this one are an example of what can be done when a few little touches are added to an otherwise rather straightforward design.
3. Westmeath
Westmeath have been near the top of these rankings for the last few seasons, with the 2024 jersey no different.
It is a simple look that just works brilliantly, with the geometric design in the background adding that bit of something extra.
2. Wexford
It's tough to argue with the purple and yellow from Wexford every year.
This is their nicest jersey from the last few years, although it is not quite enough to top our rankings.
1. New York
An absolute stunner.
New York have produced some excellent jerseys over the last couple of years, but this is the best of the lot. The red stripe down the sides is a nice touch, but the sleeves are what really tips this one over the edge.
It's an absolute beauty and a deserving winner for 2024.
