Last weekend saw the Allianz National League kick-start the new season with some exciting opening games, and Round 2 is set to keep that trend going. Here's your guide to all the GAA on TV this weekend.

GAA on TV - February 1 and 2

Football: Armagh v Tyrone (6pm, Saturday 1st, RTÉ 2)

Following their All-Ireland wom, Armagh’s season has begun with them falling short in last week’s face-off against Galway, the final’s rematch. They match-up against a Tyrone team that got Malachy O’Rourke’s managerial campaign off to a winning start against Derry.

Football: Donegal v Dublin (7:30pm, Saturday 1st, TG4)

Donegal will start their new season on Saturday as they face a Dublin side that slipped past Mayo last week in a narrow two-point victory. The win turned heads considering the blows that have been taken to their squad.

Hurling: Cork v Limerick (7:30pm, Saturday 1st, TG4 Player)

Saturday closes with a blockbuster start to the weekend’s hurling fixtures. The last clashes between these two giants ended in 3-28 to 3-26 and 0-29 to 1-28 thrillers where Cork came out on top on both occasions. Limerick manager John Kiely, like all hurling fans, is excited for the upcoming rematch.

 

Football: Derry v Kerry (12:30pm, Sunday 2nd, TG4)

After losing last weekend and now locking horns with the team that ended their All-Ireland hopes last year, Derry want to get back to winning ways. They start off the Sunday games against a Kerry team who will be playing their first game of 2025.

Football: Mayo v Galway (2.30pm, Sunday 2nd, TG4)

Mayo’s defeat to old rivals Dublin last week will leave them desperate to bounce back against Galway, who will want to continue the form they struck against Armagh. Manager Pádraic Joyce was happy with the win, but notes that there is still work to be done.

Hurling: Kilkenny v Galway (1:45pm, Sunday 2nd, TG4 Player)

The hurling games continue on Sunday with deferred coverage which will be available on TG4 Player. Kilkenny will want to maintain momentum after seeing off All-Ireland champions Clare last week. Micheál Donoghue’s return was not met with celebration as Galway were thumped by Tipperary.

Hurling: Antrim v Westmeath. (2pm, Sunday 2nd, BBC iPlayer).

Antrim will want to get Davy Fitzgerald’s reign off to a better start after their Croke Park defeat last Saturday. They close out the weekend of games against Westmeath whose Round 1 game was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
