A selection of the nation's best hurlers from the 1990s will be honoured on field during the All-Ireland final this Sunday in Croke Park.
The GAA have opted to honour a group of hurlers who helped elevate the game to new heights and popularity. The decision came because Kilkenny, who were honoured last year, won back to back All-Ireland senior titles in 1992 and 1993. Thus there is a break in the traditional jubilee team roll of honour ceremony.
The players will be guests of the GAA on Sunday and will be presented to the crowd in between the minor and senior finals.
