With the departure of Sky Sports leaving a gap in the GAA's broadcasting spheres, GAA GO are set to step up and carry a substantial portion of the load for 2023.

On Thursday morning, the streaming service announced their plans for next year's All-Ireland hurling and football championships, as well as announcing their punditry team.

The calibre of experts on their panel is impressive from the get go, with more names set to be announced in the coming weeks. Included on the team are Tommy Walsh, Michael Murphy, Seamus Hickey, Marc Ó Sé, Eoin Cadogan, and Paddy Andrews - just the 24 All-Ireland titles between them, across both codes. Gráinne McElwain will present the coverage.

It will be the details of GAA GO's chosen games that will intrigue viewers, however. The streaming service will carry 22 Sam Maguire games, and nine from the hurling championship - as well as seven games from the Tailteann Cup.

The standout game on GAA GO's slate for 2023 is the Munster hurling championship clash between Limerick and Clare, in a repeat of last year's provincial final. The defending All-Ireland champions will host Clare on the evening of Saturday April 29.

Elsewhere, GAA GO will also carry exclusively live coverage of two All-Ireland football quarter-finals. Games from every provincial championship will be shown on the service, across 11 weekends of the early summer.

A subscription to cover all 38 games on GAA GO can be acquired for €79 - but any bought before the end of 2022 will avail of an "early bird" offer of only €59 for the year. Individual game passes will be available for €12. The price of a pass for GAA Clubs will be €150.

GAA GO's press release read: "After 8 years of serving the GAA's international fan base, next year's entry into the domestic Irish market represents a huge growth step for the online streaming platform."
