GAA+, the replacement of GAAGO has been launched with its coverage beginning this weekend with three provincial championship clashes.
The Gaelic football leagues were wrapped up at the weekend in Croke Park, with the Connacht championship beginning on Saturday.
GAA+ is a rebrand of the often controversial GAAGO, which led to many flash points last summer, most notably when they held exclusive rights to arguably the game of the hurling summer, as Cork defeated Limerick in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
It led to backlash from many prominent voices, including the then Taoiseach Simon Harris, who claimed that huge games such as Limerick-Cork and subsequently Tipperary-Waterford, another thriller, should be on terrestrial television and not beyond a paywall.
GAA+ takes off this weekend with the 'diaspora double,' showing London v Roscommon from Ruislip on Saturday before bringing New York vs Galway in Gaelic Park on Sunday.
Mayo's clash with Sligo in MacHale Park will also be exclusive to the streaming service.
Pricing
Those are the first of forty championship games which will be shown on GAA+ this summer, with a season package available for €79 - the same as GAAGO was last year.
The Pay-per-game passes remain available at €12, with 3-for-2 bundles again going at €24, with no change in the pricing strategy. There is a ten% discount available for GAA members via Foireann, where many clubs house their online membership.

Missing out on Munster championship games in particular led to the big outcry last summer and Tipperary-Limerick, Waterford-Limerick, Clare-Tipperary and one more round four game on May 25 will be on GAA+ this year.
From a football perspective, Monaghan v Donegal/Derry in the Ulster quarter final is one of the big ones, with two of the All-Ireland senior football quarter finals again going to the streaming service.
