Clan na nGael of Atlanta got a chance to demonstrate their football abilities at the home NBA side, the Atlanta Hawks
The club, which has been in existence since 1996, had the unique opportunity to show off their skills on the night of the Hawks game against the Boston Celtics at the Phillips Arena in downtown Atlanta.
David O'Donoghue, PRO of Clan na Gael, said that they have got impressive feedback from their night on the court and the future looks bright for working alongside the basketball giants.
"Irish Heritage Night with the Hawks was an initiative led by our Fundraising Officer Paul Bradley and the Irish Consulate General in Atlanta Paul Gleeson," said O'Donogue. "The Hawks got on board and are now very keen to make this an annual event and expand it where possible. The event has led to an uptick in recruitment enquiries which is very positive."
