Four county champions were knocked out of their respective championships on a Super Sunday of club GAA.
In hurling, Clonlara and Camross were dethroned in Clare and Laois while in Gaelic football, Summerhill and St Brigid's went down at the quarter final stages in Meath and Roscommon.
County champs also fell on Saturday with Naomh Conaill and Éire Óg losing out in Donegal and Carlow respectively.
St Brigid's knocked out in Roscommon
St Brigid's were favourites to make it back-to-back Roscommon titles having reached the All-Ireland final last year but 2019 and 2021 victors Padraig Pearses stopped them in their tracks.
Anthony Cunningham's Brigid's looked to be on course for the semi-final only for Declan Kenny to step up with a brilliant point, sending the game to extra-time.
Pearses took over in the additional period, holding on for a 0-15 to 0-13 win.
"We don't seem to do it any other way," said man-of-the-match Paul Carey after the game, having kicked 0-5.
"Brigid's are a phenomenal team. They're great champions. But we weathered the storm, but we got a few scores when we needed them," he added.
'I don't know how we're not taking penalties right now but I'm delighted we're not!🗣️

Pearses will play St Faithleachs in the semi-final with Michael Glaveys taking on Roscommon Gaels on the other side of the draw.
Summerhill fall in Meath
St Peter's Dunboyne coasted through the group stages winning all three of their games and they continued that form in Sunday's quarter final.
The game also looked to be heading for extra-time, but Craig Lowndes won it for Dunboyne with a late goal, 1-15 to 0-14 the final scoreline.
Dunboyne take on Dunshaughlin in the last four with Wolfe Tones playing Skryne.
Clonlara beaten in Clare
A youthful Sixmilebridge side coped well in the absence of key man Cathal Malone, defeating Clonlara by 2-18 to 0-21 in the Clare SHC quarter final.
Goals from Jamie Shanahan and David Kennedy were crucial for the Bridge, who last won the championship in 2020.
Clough Ballacolla take out Camross
Clough Ballacolla are on course for a fourth Laois SHC in five years having beaten reigning champs Camross by 1-20 to 2-13.
Camross got off to a brilliant start with a goal from Darren Drennan helping them to a 1-6 to 0-2 lead early on but Clough Ballacolla dug in, and Stephen Bergin's second half goal was the difference ten minutes from time.
Bergin ended his day with 1-2 from play while Picky Maher impressed with 0-9.
Elsewhere, Trillick, Clonmel Commercials and East Kerry were among the county champions who remained on track, with wins in their respective championships.
