The captains have been announced for this weekend's inter-provincial games in Croke Park.
The new football rules presented by the FRC will be trialled in a Railway Cup style competition across Friday and Saturday.
Led by Dublin's six-time All-Ireland winning manager Jim Gavin, the Football Review Committee have proposed a number of significant changes to the game, with the first run-out taking place this weekend.
It is being described as a huge weekend for Gaelic football, with tickets costing €15 for an adult and €5 for children, giving access for both days.
The action will take place across Friday and Saturday, with inter-county managers Padraic Joyce (Connacht), Dessie Dolan (Leinster), John Cleary (Munster) and Kieran Donnolly (Ulster) in charge of the respective squads.
The sides will be captained by James McCarthy (Leinster), Aidan Forker (Ulster), Diarmuid O'Connor (Munster) and Cillian McDaid.
TG4 will broadcast Friday's action live, their coverage beginning at 5.30 before a 6.00 throw-in for Leinster v Connacht.
This will be followed by the clash of Munster and Ulster at 8.00, with RTÉ taking over for Saturday's coverage - which will include cup and shield finals.
The two days' action will reportedly have a big say in deciding whether or not the rules are passed at next month's special congress, with changes such as awarding two points for a 'point' from the new 40-metre arc and four points for a goal included.
