Semi-finalists of this year's Electric Ireland Fitzgibbon Cup were decided on Thursday evening as the University of Galway, UCC and UL all emerged victorious from their respective quarter-finals. They joined SETU Waterford who won their last eight game on Wednesday.
The University of Galway defeated SETU Carlow 0-20 to 2-11 in Dangan with Tribesmen senior panellist Evan Niland contributing 11 points of the victor's total. The Galway side recovered from the concession of two goals in the opening three minutes to claim the win.

At the Mardyke in Cork, UCC beat ATU Galway 0-20 to 1-13. Ballygiblin's Darragh Flynn scored a massive 14 points for UCC with 11 of those coming from frees. The Cork side had trailed 1-8 to 0-9 at the break.
In the evening's final quater-final, Wateford senior Mikey Kiely hit a hat-trick of goals at defending champions UL hammered UCD 4-19 to 0-10. Kiley's fellow Deise man James Power scored the other goal, and 1-2 in total, for the Limerick side.

On Wednesday evening, SETU Waterford secured their spot in the last four with a 3-16 to 2-16 win against DCU. Reuben Halloran scored eight points for the winners while Gavin Fives, Padraig Fitzgerald and Alan Kirwan scored the goals.
The semi-finals will see UCC face the University of Galway at the Tubber GAA grounds in Clare while SETU Waterford play UL at the SETU Arena.
Both games will be played on the evening of February 16th, and will be streamed live on the TG4 YouTube channel.
