As we flagged last week, the World's most northerly Gaelic Football game took place on Saturday. Finland's only two GAA clubs, the Oulu Irish Elks and the Helsinki Harps faced off just south of the Arctic Circle.
The highlight of the game was this brilliant point by Oulu's Portuguese half-forward Amarilio Vasconcelos Mendonca, who may well have the best GAA name in the world. Amarilio has only been playing the game for five months but did brilliantly to run onto a breaking ball, before executing a Simon Zebo style flick, throwing a dummy and firing over a point.
