A picture has emerged on Twitter showing a young Joe Brolly taking part in the 1982 Féile - as a hurler. It might not be so widely known, but Brolly was a hurler with Kevin Lynch's and Derry before he ever represented the county at football. He was quick to defend his credentials as a small-ball merchant in his own distinctive style:
