There were some emotional scenes on the pitch after Meath defeated Kerry in the All-Ireland ladies football final to claim their second senior title.
Meath manager Eamonn Murray told TG4 after the final whistle that he knows there could be four or five All-Irelands in this group, but losing players to the AFLW will likely halt their run.
Vikki Wall and Orlagh Lally are set to join North Melbourne and Fremantle, respectively, while Emma Troy will also travel Down Under, though not to play Aussie rules.
"That's where the tears are coming from," said Murray.
"I know we could do four or five-in-a-row, but we probably won't. We had a few great years. I don't blame them for going off one bit. They don't owe Meath anything. They're an awesome bunch of players. I love them all so much."
Kerry came into the final having scored 16 goals in their last six games, but it was Meath who hit the net three times in a nine-point victory.
"We were worried about Kerry scoring goals, but we were the team scoring goals today. Three outstanding goals," said Murray.
"It's very hard for Kerry to come up here and win their first All-Ireland [in 29 years]. We know, above all people, how hard it is. Kerry will take so much from this.
"To win in style today, which we did really, was amazing. To go down by five points starting off...
"Like Dublin last year, nobody knows what it's like to play against us until you do play against us. You can think you know, but you don't know.
"We held them to [1-7]. That's an amazing score to hold [Kerry] to. Three goals, a magic day. A magic day for GAA in general."
Including their 2020 All-Ireland intermediate title victory, this is the third consecutive championship final that Meath have won at Croke Park.
"I won't take much credit for that," said Murray.
"My management team are just first class. I'm very lucky to have them.
"The girls bought into it, and that's most important. There's no point having good players if you haven't good management. We have both, so we're blessed."
