Gaoth Dobhair's days-long celebration of the Ulster club title would make quite a good epic poem, were it not for the fact that some of the finer details of the celebrations are probably a bit hazy.
I have lived in important places, times when great events were decided...just don't ask me about Sunday night.
Some moments were captured for posterity, however, the greatest of them all being Kevin Cassidy and Neil McGee's call-out of Corofin, who they will face in the All-Ireland semi-final.
Writing in his Daily Star column today, Eamon McGee said it was the highlight of the week, and evinces a healthy ignorance for those who deem it disrespectful.
McGee himself says he is no "reformed character", and was determined to bask in his club's magnificent success.
To that end, here's how he did it.
I have my own little black book, even if it's a mental one rather than physical. There's a grudge list of those who've wound me up over the years. After I got home from the clubhouse, I sent a text with a picture of me holding the Ulster trophy and the caption 'winners' to everyone on my list.
If you didn't get one, it means I like you...
Look, I know this was petty, but I just want to show I'm no angel and far from a reformed character. I got plenty of stick over the years - some deserved, some not. I just couldn't resist the urge to fire back at a few arseholes.
It's a typically great column - seek it out.
With some GAA success today greeted with a drilled cup, a bottle of Blue WKD and an immediate resolve to win again next year, these are the kinds of celebrations we like to see.
