The game is one of the best All-Ireland deciders of the past decade. It saw the two sides facing off in the final for the second consecutive year.
Mayo, who had defeated Kerry after a replay in the semi-final, pushed Dublin all the way.
Dublin had beaten Tyrone in the semi on their journey to a third consecutive All-Ireland victory.
