Dublin is set to take on Roscommon this weekend as both counties look to start their Sam Maguire campaigns with a win. Here’s everything you need to know about Dublin v Roscommon.

For the Dubs, they will be looking to continue their winning form after they captured their 14th Leinster championship in a row. Dessie Farrell’s side began their championship campaign with a convincing 3-19 to 0-12 quarter-final win against Meath in Croke Park. The Dubs dispatched Offaly in a similarly dominant fashion in the semi-final before a final match-up against Louth.

Dublin found themselves in a tricky situation in the final played in Croke Park at a near quarter-full capacity. The Wee County led 0-07 to 0-06 at half-time and it took a mistake from Louth goalkeeper Niall McDonnell for Con O'Callaghan to give Dublin a goal and some breathing room. The Boys in Blue would hold on to win the title, with a late Craig Lennon goal making it a final score of 1-19 to 2-12.

In Roscommon's case, they will be looking to get their campaign off to a positive start following their semi-final exit in the Connacht championship. The Rossies had a bye through the quarter-final, before being beaten 0-13 to 1-15 by Mayo at home in Dr. Hyde Park.

The match will be the second time these two counties have met this year. In their Division One league fixture in February at Croke Park, Dublin came out 1-19 to 1-12 winners on the day.
