A Dublin GAA tweet about Lee Keegan has angered GAA fans.
Mayo's hopes of winning the All-Ireland title took a massive hit when Lee Keegan was sent to the line for a black card offence after fouling Diarmuid Connolly of Dublin.
There has been a massive amount of discussion surrounding Keegan and Connolly all week so the reaction to Keegan's sending off was gleeful from the Dublin fans at the game. And, it turns out, the official Dublin GAA Twitter account, which tweeted its reaction. We took a screen grab in case the person running the account saw sense and deleted the tweet. They did.
The reaction to the post was a fairly negative one - from those outside Dublin, at least.
While clearly the Tweet is not indicative of all Dublin fans and is rather just an individual's error of judgment, it will sting Mayo fans after another heartbreaking defeat.
In an attempt to backtrack, Dublin GAA has since deleted the tweet and gone for a more gracious approach.
Commiserations to @MayoGAA. You are a fantastic team with great heart and passion. You are all a credit to your county pic.twitter.com/UH60il4Ld4
