The Dubs welcome Donegal to Croker Saturday night for what should be a fascinating game of football. This week, though, it's impossible to escape the echoes of real world tragedy, and we can only presume the tragic events of last Sunday night in Buncrana will be on the minds of the Donegal players. According to reports in the Donegal Daily, the GAA is planning a minute's silence before the game.
Interestingly, Dublin supporters are planning a touching tribute of their own to the five people who died last Sunday evening. A number of Dublin supporters groups online are urging fans attending the match to rise and applaud for one minute during the 5th minute of Saturday's match.
It's a great idea and one we hope everyone gets behind Saturday night.
