In an episode that will surely become known as Spy Gate, a man was caught attempting to watch a closed Kerry team training session at Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney.
John Fogarty in the Irish Examiner reports that the man was rumbled when members of the Kerry management team spotted branches breaking and noise coming from a tree overlooking the stadium.
Kerry journalist Murt Murphy tweeted about the story yesterday, disclosing that the man is from Donegal but living in Kerry. In a later tweet he identified him more specifically as originally hailing from Glenties.

The scene may or may not have looked something like this.
The Kerry County Board changed their policy on training sessions last year meaning that the majority would be held behind closed doors.
