A new documentary about former Dublin footballer Jason Sherlock is set to air over Christmas.
The programme called 'Jayo' will delve into when Sherlock first burst onto the scene in 1995 as a 19-year-old, becoming an overnight sensation as Dublin won the All-Ireland.
The documentary, which comes from the makers of the 'Micko' and 'Giles', will also look at the player's flirting with a move to Liverpool; Sherlock was an accomplished soccer player with UCD and Shamrock Rovers.
Another aspect of Sherlock's life that the programme will explore is the murder of his father, who also died the same year as Sherlock won the All-Ireland with Dublin, and judging by the two trailers RTE have released, 'Jayo' looks like a must-watch for GAA fans.
'Jayo' will air on Sunday the 30th of December on RTÉ One at 9.30pm.
