Good grief.
Diarmuid Connolly was quiet by his own vertiginous standards in last Sunday's Dublin final, yet still ended up on the winning side with Saint Vincent's. Instead, it fell to Mossy Quinn to roll back the years and seal victory.
Nonetheless, the final marked a pretty solid weekend for Connolly: the night previous he had collected an All-Star in recognition of another remarkable year at inter-county: unbeaten throughout league and championship.
While Castleknock kept Connolly relatively quiet at Parnell Park, he couldn't help but beguile the occasion with this utterly stupendous kick pass. It is absolutely mesmeric: perfectly measured; immaculately floated. It may be the most satisfying thing we've seen on a football field this year.
Courtesy of TG4, here it is. Watch it on endless loop. You won't be able to get enough of it.

Perfection.
The primary reason Vincent's were in the final was thanks to Connolly's unerring accuracy off both feet in the semi-final. So if you can find the time to indulge yourself for a little longer, have a look at the highlights from the semi-final victory over Ballymun. On that occasion, it was Diarmuid Connolly's world and everybody else just happened to be occupying it.
