Diarmuid Connolly will miss twelve weeks of action after the Central Competitions Control Committee found him guilty of minor physical interference with linesman Ciaran Branagan against Carlow.
The incident, which you can see here, happened midway through the Dubs comfortable win over Carlow last weekend. Connolly lightly pushed Branagan in the chest after a line ball was given to Carlow.
The CCCC had previously suspended Evan Comerford of Tipperary for a relatively similar incident with referee Paddy Russell during a club game.
Dublin can now appeal the decision with the DRA. If they fail, Connolly is gone until a potential All-Ireland semi-final appearance, should the Dubs get there.
