After drawing with Kilkenny last weekend, the Deise lost by two points on Saturday evening. The closeness of their encounters with Kilkenny is no comfort for McGrath.
There's no consolation in going to toe-toe with an empire.
It is the type of attitude which could one day be key in winning an All-Ireland for Waterford. This is a young team and certainly one with a September victory in their future.
