Uosis, who was born in Lithuania but move to Kerry at the age of four, impressed at the AFL's European Combine which was held at the UCD campus in December.
The teenager was quicked of all in the 20m sprint, clocking 2.76 seconds. He also placed fourth in the agility test and impressed in the endurance-based yo-yo test.
Uosis plays his club football for Dingle. He lined out in goal for Kerry in the McGrath Cup against Tipperary last month.
He will be the third Kerry minor All-Ireland winner to make the move to Aussie rules in recent years. His fellow Dingle man Mark O'Connor currently plays for Geelong, as does Stefan Okunbor from Na Gaeil.
