Declan Bonner has been confirmed as Donegal's new manager, following ratification by the County Board on Friday evening.
A corner-forward on the All-Ireland winning team of 1992, Bonner takes charge of the county for a second time, two decades after his first spell began. The Na Rossa man managed the side for three years between 1997 and 2000, leading the side to an Ulster Final in 1998.
Bonner has worked with Donegal's minor and Under-21 sides in recent years to much success, leading both to provincial titles, including one at the Under-21 level this year.

The three-year term sees Bonner work with the side until 2020. He will be assisted by Paul McGonigle.
Since winning the All-Ireland title in 2012 under Bonner's former teammate Jim McGuinness, the team have failed to build on that success. He replaces Rory Gallagher who stepped down after the side's heavy loss to Galway in the Football Qualifers.
Despite leaving his role with Donegal, Gallagher returned to inter-county management quickly taking the reigns with his native Fermanagh.
