While Waterford would have been massively disappointed with their last gasp loss to Clare last weekend, much of the post-match conversation was dominated by what occurred after the final whistle in Ennis.
Davy Fitzgerald came under heavy criticism for his actions after the match, with the Waterford boss making his way onto the pitch and attempting to confront referee Liam Gordon.
Donal Óg Cusack was among those who questioned the behaviour of the 52-year old, although he feels as though he did not overstep the mark.

Davy Fitzgerald claps back at criticism over referee confrontation
Davy Fitzgerald was not punished by the GAA for last weekend's incident, meaning he is free to be on the sideline for this weekend's game against Limerick.
Speaking to the Irish Times, he said that the reaction to his actions was completely overblown and that he in no way abused the match officials.
I know there were people afterwards saying I lost it with the ref. I didn’t lose it with the ref. He’d tell you that himself.
I questioned him on one thing that I was very irate on and it wasn’t the last ball. I was on to him about one incident that I felt strongly about.
Did I abuse him or use bad language to him? No. I didn’t. But I was very adamant in my point.
I was really annoyed about one call and it was a steps issue. I thought it was six or eight steps, it was probably five or six steps. When you look back, you say okay, right, fair enough.
It was not a good look at the time, but Davy Fitzgerald insists that the reaction to the incident after the Clare game was unfair.
He will be hoping that there will be a bit less late drama when Waterford take on Limerick this weekend.
