Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald was admitted was admitted to hospital in Dublin this morning.
The 44-year-old checked himself into a clinic in Galway last night and was then transferred to a hospital in Dublin today.
According to RTE, Fitzgerald could miss this weekend's All-Ireland quarter-final against Galway. The game is being played at Semple Stadium in Thurles on Sunday afternoon.
The Irish Examiner report that should Fitzgerald miss the game, right-hand man Donal Óg Cusack will take charge of the team.
The two-time All-Ireland winner underwent minor heart sugery in 2009 to have stents inserted due to a blocked artery.
