6/1 outsiders Limerick IT beat University of Limerick today in the Fitzgibbon Cup in one of the biggest GAA shocks so far this year. Davy Fitzgerald's side ran out winners 2-16 to 1-13 and after the match, Davy spoke to Jerome Quinn in typical Davy fashion.
He claims that today's victory has matched anything he has ever achieved in his hurling career – a big statement from a man who's manager of the reigning All Ireland champions and has two All Ireland medals in his back pocket.
This also happened before the match.
Gotta love Davy Fitzgerald - LIT tog out in Moylish get bus across city and emerge into UL GAA grounds through bushes from main road
