What a player. When we were watching David Clifford absolutely dominate at minor level, we had a feeling he was going to be star. However, we never could have predicted he would become this dominant at such a young age.
The 20-year old is one of the best players in the country, having won an All-Star in his maiden campaign with Kerry in 2018. You would expect him to add another one of those in the coming weeks.
While the inter-county season would ultimately end in disappointment for Clifford and Kerry, the youngster is now back on club duty. The Fossa clubman lined out for East Kerry this evening as they took on Paul Geaney's Dingle in the championship quarter final.
Considering some of the names on show, this was a highly anticipated affair. As is so often the case, Clifford would go on to steal the show.
He scored the first goal of the game, showing tremendous skill to sell the opposition goalkeeper the dummy and find the back of the net.

Outrageous stuff.
East Kerry have won the Kerry Senior Championship on seven occasions, although the last of those wins came in 1999, i.e. the year David Clifford was born.
They will be hoping to end that drought this year and they certainly have the talent to give it a real go.
