The Kingdom has its prince.

David Clifford continues to be a cut above anything else at minor level, and the suspicion lingers that soon he will be lording it over the senior division, too.

Clifford has the handy Kerry talent of looking entirely at home at Croke Park despite only making a couple of trips to HQ a year, and it was on show this afternoon as he booked another ticket north in September.

Kerry galloped past Cavan in today's minor semi-final, winning on a scoreline of 2-22 to 2-10 to qualify for a fourth consecutive All-Ireland minor final.  Cavan kicked 1-5 late on to add a bit of gloss to the scoreboard, but Kerry were never troubled as they continue their dominance of the minor division.

The regal Clifford was the game's best player, winning Man of the Match at the end of a performance which yielded 1-10  It could have been more: he elected to pass to Jack Griffin to finish Kerry's second goal.

The watching public were suitably impressed...
