The GAA has released its master fixture calendar for 2021.
The inter-county GAA season is set to begin on the weekend of May 8/9 with the start of the Allianz Hurling League. The football gets underway a week later.
The top two divisions of the hurling league will conclude on June 12/13 and Division 3 the following weekend. The football league will have divisions split into north and south with four teams in each group. The finals will be played on June 19/20.
British based teams will not be participating in either the football or hurling leagues this year, while neither London nor New York will take part in the football championship.
The provincial hurling championships, which begin on the weekend of June 26/27, will again be played on a knockout basis with qualifiers as there were in 2020. The All-Ireland hurling final is set for August 21/22.
The provincial football championships also get underway on June 26/27 with a straight knockout format. As in 2020, there will be no qualifiers. The All-Ireland football final will be played on the weekend of August 28/29.
County and provincial club championships are set to be played between August and December with the All-Ireland club finals down for decision in February 2022.
