The apple doesn't fall far from the tree in Tyrone.
In the first of three games to take place in Croke Park on Sunday, the Ulster side were the inaugural winners of the All-Ireland Under-17 Football Championship. Tyrone defeated Roscommon 2-18 to 0-15 to win the title, hours before the senior side took the field.
The moment of the game though came in the second half, when half-forward Darragh Canavan scored a stunning goal in the final ten minutes. Son of former All-Ireland winner Peter, the young Canavan scored a goal that would have made his father proud.

The young Canavan has been making a name for himself in recent years. In May, Joe Brolly said the Errigal Ciaran star was a chip off the old block.
He is just like a mini Peter... Just like his dad. If you didn't know the younger Canavan was playing on the pitch, you would have said 'oh my God, that looks like Peter Canavan reincarnated'.
Could Tyrone's Under-17 success be an omen the senior team against Dublin?
