One of the fastest and most open hurling finals in living memory has ended in a last-gasp draw, to the delight of neutrals everywhere. The replay (5pm, Saturday 27th) will be the third in three years.
The online reaction, both form Irish viewers and those from further afield, was glowing in its praise of the participants but not without criticism of some of Barry Kelly's decisions and the fairness of the post-Nash penalty rule. Here's the pick of the bunch so far.
Very jealous watching this..

Hurling is the crystal meth of sport - hits you hard, fast, is instantly addictive and as soon as it’s over you want more, MORE, MORE!!

Stupid Nash rule. Ruining hurling since 2013 #gaa
— Anne-Marie (@thecailinrua) September 7, 2014
Think the GAA have totally ruined the penalty in hurling! No advantage to the forward anymore! Basically the same as a 21 yard free now #GAA

It's a red card offence, and there is no possibility that it wasn't 100% intentional #hurling

Re new penalty rule in hurling, why not insist only the goalie can stand in the goal?
— Andy McGeady (@andymcgeady) September 7, 2014
If you're not enjoying this game you either really hate hurling or things that are beautiful. #KilkennyvTipp

A little known Hurling fact; the point scoring area between the uprights extends to the ionosphere.
