Gary Sice won his 13th Galway SFC title with Corofin on Sunday as his side defeated favourites Moycullen by two points at Pearse Stadium. The forward scored five points in a 1-11 to 1-9.
For the 39-year-old, it was a emotional day as it came just over a year since his wife Bevin died following a battle with cancer. Sice celebrated on the pitch with his daughter Sadhbh following the game.
"It's a nice one," the former Galway GAA footballer told Off The Ball about the victory.
"We had a tough year, last year, last September.
"It's just football. If we didn't win today, I'd still have my daughter laughing at me there. She doesn't give a shit whether we won or lost today.
"I have a network at home and they allow me train. They allow me the hours to go and do this. It would be wrong of me to not perform today when I have people there who are helping me so much over the last while.
"The other thing is, I love football. Soon it's going to stop because the body just won't allow for it anymore. As long as I can offer something, I want to play. It's just football."

Sice added: "I have a phone call now to make to Giz McGrath because he has 12.
"I need to make a phone call and remind him that I have one more. It's a ridiculous thing to even be thinking about."
