Cork have retained their All-Ireland senior Camogie title, with a second half goal proving to be the difference between the sides as they ran out 1-16 to 0-16 winners over Galway at Croke Park.
The Leesiders came into this fixture as favourites, although they would be provided with a stern test from their Connacht opponents. There was nothing to choose between the two teams throughout the game, although this goal from Katrina Mackey would prove to be the key moment in the match.
Brilliant from Amy O'Connor to set up Katrina Mackey for the opening goal

Galway would try to battle back into the game from this point onwards, and while they remained within touching distance throughout, they were unable to find the goal that would have drawn them level.
Cork would ultimately retain their All-Ireland crown with three points to spare, winning the 30th title in the county's history.

Cork Star Had O'Donovan & McCarthy Request After All-Ireland Win
Cork went through a relative famine at the turn of the decade, going five years without an All-Ireland from 2018-2023. That is sizeable gap for a county of their pedigree, although the current group of players are now certainly making up for lost time.
Hannah Looney was exceptional in today's games, and having led the celebrations after their All-Ireland win last year, she has some big plans for the coming weeks.
Speaking to RTÉ, she even suggested recruiting recent Olympic gold medallists Paul O'Donovan and Fintan McCarthy to join the festivities.
"I must get on to Paul and Fintan and see if they'll row me down the Lee"

It's just unbelievable. I'll just say one thing first. We've been a big fan of Rian O'Neill's interviews when Armagh won and he said 'guess what'. So guess what, come on the Rebels!
I'm just absolutely over the moon...
Do you have any connections for Paul [O'Donovan] and Fintan [McCarthy]? I might get onto them and see if they will row me down the Lee, I'll go down to Skib for a row even!
We will be celebrating for the week, we will be celebrating for the winter. You work hard for this, special moment. I'm really, really proud.
A brilliant interview.
Cork will no doubt enjoy the celebrations over the coming days, although it will not be long before they switch their focus to 2025. The county have not won three successive All-Irelands since the 1940s, a milestone their players will no doubt be looking to reach next season.
