Cork opened their Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Championship campaign with a comprehensive victory over Waterford at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Tuesday evening.
It was a 3-19 to 0-15 win for the Rebels. Two sensational first half goals - the opening one from Barry O'Flynn and the second from Barry Wash - put Cork in control.
In the 14th minute, with Cork leading 0-5 to 0-4, a long ball found full-forward O'Flynn in space. From a tight angle, and despite the presence of Waterord full-back Dylan Ryan, Sarsfields man O'Flynn fired a wonderful strike past Deise goalkeeper Leon Lennon.

14 minutes later, with Cork still holding a four-point lead, Finn O'Brien took possession for Cork after intercepting a short puckout from Waterford.
He found Walsh who struck a superb shot beyond the reach of Lennon from just inside the semi-circular arc. It put Cork 2-10 to 0-9 ahead.

In Tuesday night's other game, Limerick picked up their second win of the competition with a 2-20 to 0-22 victory over Clare.
