Derry comfortably eased past Tyrone in their highly anticipated Allianz Football League Division One clash at Celtic Park this afternoon.
Despite playing against a strong breeze in the second half, Mickey Harte's men came out on top winning by a six point margin, 1-12 to 0-09.
In now means Derry are two wins from two in the league having defeated Kerry last weekend.
Conor Glass' fortuitous goal in the 70th minute of today's game sealed the victory but realistically Derry never really looked threatened by their opponents.

Bhí an t-ádh ag Conor Glass ach tá an liathróid isteach sa líontán!
A pointed effort from Conor Glass ends up in the net and the points are staying in Derry!

Tyrone struggled without some of their better players, including the influential Conn Kilpatrick, who's appeal to the Dispute Resolution Authority to have a red card picked up last weekend overturned was rejected on Sunday morning.
It's just two weeks since Glass and his inter-county teammates Ethan Doherty and Ciaran McFaul helped their club Glen to the All-Ireland senior club championship title in Croke Park and all three have now lined out for club and county on three successive weekends.
There have been some critics of Harte's decision not to rest the Glen trio and allow them a break but it seems they are more than happy to be involved.
Conor Glass addresses Derry trio's burnout concerns
Speaking following this afternoon's win Glass was asked by GAA Beo's Mícheál Ó Domhnaill about tiredness, fatigue and burnout and the impact it was having on him.
"Us boys are feeling fresh at the minute," he said.
"A great point Mickey made to the Glen boys is that we're coming back off the success of an All-Ireland so the energy we get to bring to the group...the energy we brought to the boys down in Kerry was fantastic.
"Just bringing that confidence and that winning mentality to the setup was why Mickey thought it was worth bringing us in.
"We get a break now. A few of us boys are heading away to get a bit of sun. There's other ways you can look after yourself and not burnout."

It's been an extremely busy time for Glass who following their win over Kerry last weekend got engaged to his girlfriend Neeve at Adare Manor.
Himself and his Glen inter-county colleagues can now look forward to a break before Derry welcome Monaghan to Celtic Park on Saturday February 17th.
