The Clare hurlers will make their first appearance in Croke Park since the 2013 All-Ireland final replay this Saturday. All-Ireland champions Galway stand in their way back to that stage, and the Banner will go into the game as heavy underdogs.

That hasn't exactly stopped the county losing the run of itself ahead of a rare trip to Dublin. The banners and bunting covering the roads and houses aren't exactly surprising, but we didn't think Clare's 2018 run had yet qualified for song status. Clare FM's Colum McGrath certainly doesn't agree.

We'd expect to make it to at least August before a county loses the run of itself. If Clare can somehow beat Galway on Saturday, we can probably expect a lot more of this.

It's not quite "The Banner Roar".
