Three stunning goals lit up the All Ireland semi final this evening as Galway pipped Clare to the All Ireland final. In the first half it was Johnny Glynn, who confounded the Clare defence, with some brilliant stick work before finishing with a one handed strike past Donal Tuohy:

Shane O'Donnell then stepped up in the second half with a jinking run, finishing superbly to give Clare hope of overhauling Galway's advantage.
The 24-year-old picked up the ball a few yards outside the 21, and a quick pirouette led him into the waiting arms of Daithi Burke. O'Donnell managed to wrestle his way out of Burke's grip before taking a step to get away from John Hanbury, and with the Galway defence breathing down his neck sold a clever dummy strike before finishing low beyond James Skehill off the ground:

Not to be outdone by his team mate Peter Duggan, got another corker on 53 minutes, holding off several defenders before firing home from long range:

But in the end it wasn't enough for the Banner county, with a spurned goal chance on 67 minutes proving costly for Donal Moloney and Gerry O'Connor's men with the final score 1-17 to 2-13 in favour of Galway.
