In what has been a mad few days for the GAA, the news that Kildare v Mayo will be played in Newbridge at 7pm on Saturday has now been followed by confirmation that Cavan v Tyrone will move to Bewster Park in Enniskillen. Fermanagh's home ground was nominated by Cavan due to the fact that Kingspan Breffni's pitch is undergoing redevelopment.
Confirmed for Brewster. https://t.co/D0j4fGrtOV

Brewster Park was already used by Cavan in the previous round of the qualifiers, against Down, last weekend so many imagined the Tyrone game take place there also; that was until the GAA announced the Croke Park double header on Monday. What has happened in the meantime will live long in the memory but in the aftermath of the GAA's decision to move the Kildare match to Newbridge, Paul Fitzpatrick, Sports Editor of The Anglo Celt newspaper in Cavan, reports that Cavan were offered a choice of venue and opted for Enniskillen.
What happens to those poor unfortunates who had already purchased tickets to Croke Park (this guy, right here!) remains to be seen but one would imagine they'll be given full refunds. The decision to have it as a standalone fixture in Croker makes perfect sense and saves everyone from the unwelcome spectacle of an almost empty stadium.
