This would put a smile on your face.
Down footballer Caolan Mooney is back in training only four months after suffering a horrific head injury. The former AFL player was a on a night out in Newry late December when he and his brother Patrick were attacked. This came only hours after he had played in a Dr McKenna Cup game against Fermanagh.
While Patrick would suffer a broken nose, the GAA star ended up in hospital due to severe head injuries. It later emerged that he had a fractured skull. A 37-year old man was subsequently charged for the incident.
Mooney was released a week later and has been on the road to recovery ever since.

While GAA teams are unable to train due to the coronavirus, it hasn't stopped his attempts to get back to full fitness.
Mooney posted a video of some home training earlier today and mentioned that he is close to getting back to full fitness.
Today’s session for me was massive, one thing that got me was trying to jump, the vibrations were hurting my head, but today I was able to get through 5 reps of counter movement jumps with no problems 🙌🏻 baby steps with the recovery hopefully getting closer to being 100% again pic.twitter.com/Se64846PKq

Great to see.
While it is unclear when the GAA may return, it looks like Caolan Mooney will be back to himself in no time.
