Usually, that tally for Sheehan would have been nothing beyond the norm for the five-time All-Ireland winner with Kerry.

However, Sheehan notched up those scores while playing as goalkeeper. His five points included one from play in a 0-12 to 0-10 win for St Mary's.

There was also a mesmeric free kick which has been widely shard on social media.

St Mary's will face St Michael's/Foilmore in the semi-final after they defeated Waterville in the weekend's other South Kerry Championship quarter-final.

For Renard - whose newly renovated Páirc Uí Dhonnchú hosted Sunday's game - it was a warm-up for their County Junior Championship final against Tarbert next month.
