Dublin may be without Rory O'Carroll for 2016, but the All-Ireland Champions will now be able to lean on the experience of a legendary former defender with the news Bryan Cullen is to be installed as the new High Performance Manager of the county. The Dublin county board released the following statement:
Coiste Átha Cliath are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Bryan Cullen as the High Performance Manager for Dublin GAA.
Bryan joins Dublin GAA after four years with Leinster Rugby and having recently completed his PhD in Dublin City University.
He will be entrusted with developing a long term player pathway from juvenile to senior level for the county's players, as well as taking a lead role in the strength and conditioning of all our inter-county teams.
Bryan will begin his role in the coming weeks.
Cullen will leave his current role as a Strength and Conditioning coach with Leinster to assume the role.
Shrewd move by @DubGAAOfficial to bring in Bryan Cullen as High Performance Manager...passionate, articulate and one of our own!!
