While we all love sport for the sake of sport, it's not too great a stretch to say that what goes on in and around the action can be equally enjoyable. Saturday's All-Ireland semi final replay was a case in point. Whether it's the irate Mayo man that everyone is talking about or the Garda putting a young chap on his arse, it had it all.
And now that Sky Sports have caught on to how enjoyable it can all be, we have a new pastime to sit back and enjoy. Given that Kerry vs Mayo was just so damn enjoyable we had to take a look at what our bemused neighbours thought of it.
The action was live on Sky Sports 4 at the time but it seems word of mouth spread and there was quite a few folks from across the water tuning in to the repeat on Sky Sports 3 on Sunday morning.
While it's all rather amusing, we're particularly enamoured with @Imhavingthesoup from Birmingham who reveals he is a convert at 7.12 p.m. before lamenting that the long wait continues for Mayo, all of 18 minutes later.
Sky Sports 3 now. GAA semi final replay. ???? #hearditwasacracker

@Jimmy_S_Oldham Great sport. Stunning pitch invasions as well, it took 5 stewards to take that bloke down. — Birdy (@Imhavingthesoup) August 30, 2014
Watching GAA on SS3. Imagine that at a Scottish football match. Polis would be in riot gear.
