The Kilkenny county board last night confirmed that Brian Cody will take charge of their senior hurlers for a 20th season.
A backroom team of Derek Lyng, James McGarry and Mick Dempsey was also confirmed.
Cody was first appointed Kilkenny manager in 1998. He won the All-Ireland two years later - the first of 11 in total - which Kilkenny have claimed under his stewardship.

It is also a reign which has seen Kilkenny claim 15 Leinster titles and eight National League crowns.
This year was a disappointing one for Kilkenny, they exited the Championship in the qualifiers at the hands of Waterford. Defeat in the Leinster Championship came at the hands of Wexford. They also lost out to Davy Fitz's team in the National League quarter-finals.
