Three members of the Richards family from Birmingham have been shot dead in the attacks in Tunisia. 22 year old Joel, his uncle Adrian and his grandfather Patrick have been killed in the massacre. It is understood that Joel's 16 year brother Owen has survived.

Joel was a Gaelic footballer for Birmingham based club James Connolly GFC. The club have released a statement, announcing its devastation at the tragic news.

They praised him as a talented footballer who gave his all for the club.

Three Irish people have been killed in the attacks, Meath born Lorna Carty and Athlone couple, Laurence and Martina Hayes. The news of Lorna Carty's death broke last yesterday and the Birmingham club paid tribute.
