It may be closer in time to the most recent All Ireland's than the next but the early rounds of the inter-county GAA calendar continued across the country over the weekend. Laois ran Dublin close in the O'Byrne cup while Leitrim confirmed the fact they only play well in years ending in '4' by losing to Galway by a point in their defence of the FBD.
The results may not matter to most as much as those later in the year, evident with all of Kerry's Sam Maguire winning team holidaying in South Africa (current temperature 27c) while their counterparts left at home suffered a shock at the hands of IT Tralee by 4-12 to 0-16 in the McGrath cup, but the action still lead for some great photo's.
