Dublin could be without the services of Bernard Brogan this season.
The Herald's Conor McKeon reports that Brogan suffered a cruciate ligament injury in training.
Brogan was initially named in the Dublin starting team to face Donegal on Croke Park on Saturday night. However, shortly before throw-in, he was replaced by Paddy Andrews.
The 33-year-old started Dublin's opening game of the National League against Kildare, scoring a point.
If confirmed, it would be a major blow to the Oliver Plunkett's player this late in his career - especially if his time in a Dublin jersey is brought to a premature end.
Jack McCaffrey, who sustained a ruptured ACL during last year's All-Ireland final, underwent surgery for the injury last October. Though McCaffrey is unwilling to put a date on his return, it is possible he will play again before the end of this year's Championship.
