When Corduff Gaels announced the list of items to be auctioned at their 50th anniversary gala ball, one, in particular, caught the eye.
It was not the six-month-old heifer or the chance to have Conor McManus make an appearance at your child's birthday party which stood out. Rather it was the burial plot for two in Corduff or Raferagh Cemetery.

Billed as "the most anticipated auction item in the history of the GAA" by the auctioneer on the night, former Monaghan manager and Corduff clubman Seamus McEnaney, the bidding began at 'five hundurd' but quickly elevated.
Murphy Video Services were there on the night to capture the fight for the 12' x 12' plot.
