Following what will go down in the GAA's history as The Ballyragget Incident, there was concern expressed earlier this week that one of the strippers involved in the shenanigans would streak across St Conleth's Park during today's Leinster Intermediate tie with Ardclough. Some bookmakers took odds on such an event happening, in proof that people will generally throw their money away on anything. No such streaking is known to have taken place.
There had been some concern that this game would not go ahead at all, with some moralising that Ballyragget should be cast out from the competition for bringing every WhatsApp group in the country into disrepute. Thankfully, that did not happen, and today they showcased their scoring prowess on the field.
And today ultimately brought salvation: they eased past Ardclough, winning out on a scoreline of 0-24 to 1-08.
