Ballymun Kickhams went into their clash with St Mary’s Saggart as big favourites in the Dublin Senior Championship this evening but nobody was expecting them to run away with it as much as they did.
As it turns out, they hockeyed St Mary's and have left Dublin GAA fans calling for the championship format to be revamped.
After just 25 minutes Ballymun had led 4-5 to 0-0, and were 20 points ahead by half time. They eventually went on to destroy the Saggart Club by massive 40 points with a scoreline of 8-18 to 0-2 points.
Was hard to watch.

What’s even more impressive is that at 5-8 Ballymun went down to 14 men after David Byrne was sent off.
There are 32 teams in the Dublin championship. Ballymun won their last game 5-17 to 2-6 over St Patrick's Palmerstown, which means they have an aggregate of +60 in the Championship so far this season.
Ballymun's win today is the biggest rout of the 2017 Dublin Championship, just beating out Kilmacud's 10-12 to 0-7 win over Erin's Isle.
The result has provoked calls from many to change up the league format with many believing too many teams are entering with a gap beginning to widen between the top and bottom teams.
In other results St Brigid's also advanced past Thomas Davis by a mere 3 points.
